Immersed in tears and pain I asked my teacher…

“Why one abusive relationship after the other?’

.

You have choosen freedom as you path,-

my teacher responded,

but as you identify with your role

you are unable to  see the truth.

No one of these people you love ever really existed.

Yet, you are unable to let them go.

"When we try to break down our conditioning through the action of will, what happens? One desire becomes dominant and resists the various other desires -which means that there is always the whole problem of suppression, resistance, and so-called sublimation. Does any of this free the mind from conditioning?I wonder if we fully understand the implication of using the will to get rid of something, or to become something. What is will? Surely will is, in itself, a way of conditioning the mind, is it not? In the action of will, one dominant desire is imposing itself upon other desires, one wish is over-riding other motives and urges. This process obviously creates inward opposition, and hence there is ever conflict. So, will cannot help us to free the mind. " - Krishnamurti, Collected Works, Vol. X,26,Action

Love, losses are one of the traps of this illusion,

and once you will be able tosee them for what they are;

once you will stop agreeing

with the rationale and interpretations

of the mind, not only they will lose any power over you,

but you will have made a big step toward freedom.

…it is wrong to think that when realization comes it already brings the possibility and the power. One can know and not be able to do anything. It is a most difficult and unpleasant situation if one begins to see things and is unable to do anything. That is why in some cases it is better not to begin working unless one is ready to go on to the end.

  1. These authors are right. Using the will is like using force. Only by letting go of it all, realizing the insignificance of the illusion of loss can it dissipate. If it is not real, how can it have an effect unless the ordinary mind is in charge and makes it real? How can any thought or feeling cause pain unless the rational mind assigns it the significance needed to affect us?
