YOU ARE NOT YOUR MIND
THE GREATEST OBSTACLE TO ENLIGHTENMENT
To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind
wrongly — you usually don’t use it at all. It uses you.
This is the disease. You believe that you are your mind.
This is the delusion. The instrument has taken you over. ♥ From THE POWER OF NOW A GUIDE TO SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT by Eckhart Tolle
I’m in the middle of 4 different books.
2 of them were written in the late 1800 early 1900.
Although different authors from different continents,
all of them touch the exact same spiritual concepts.
Different words, different times and form, but same concepts.
Tolle, Krishnamurti, Castaneda, P. D. Ouspensky,
Yogi Ramacharaka and Hubbard to name a few.
To them the inner silence, (what Mr Hubbard calls TR0)
or silent mind is the goal and the only ‘way out’.
The hidden enemy is the mind (s),
what we mistakenly and very often proudly call the self.
Today, while researching
I was able to observe couple of thoughts
I was able in a very minor form to be a spectator of this ‘beings’
and slowly, slowly I started to exteriorizing…
I felt as one of the weights at the bottom of the balloon
I was able to see how many thousands of this weights I have,
and they all come with the same deceiving label: balloon.
So, we thing is the “I”.
… This was only the beginning.
Another wonderful realization
was about to blow up on my face:
we are not living life,
“life” is living us.
No matter what you do, how you feel,
where you are,
a spiritual being at his natural state
is not in any way part of this.
We are told what we see,
what we feel, what we think.
We are told we are alive while
something else is living for us.
I understood what mr. G meant when he talked about:
“And yet he (men) does not remember himself.“
He is a machine, everything with him happens. He cannot stop the flow of his thoughts, he cannot control his imagination, his emotions, his attention. He lives in a subjective world of ‘I love,’ ‘I do not love,’ ‘I like,’ ‘I do not like,’ ‘I want,’ ‘I do not want,’ that is, of what he thinks he likes, of what he thinks he does not like, of what he thinks he wants, of what he thinks he does not want. He does not see the real world. The real world is hidden from him by the wall of imagination.
He lives in sleep. He is asleep. What is called ‘clear consciousness’ is sleep and a far more
dangerous sleep than sleep at night in bed.”

And as you let go as you find out “who you are not”,
the spiritual mind grows stronger.
As you find yourself, even if just as an intuitive perception
things starts to appear from what they really are.
I made a point to not ask questions about my crossing
into different worlds.
The answers do not belong to the minds.
I know that any explanation would be a perversion and an alteration
of a wonderful state of being.
I know that the only barrier to freedom and knowledge
is my own confusion and identification with other synthetic entities,
with the rationale and limitation of their world.
I stopped wanting to save the world.
Indeed there is no world to be saved,
and nothing will never change if not in the appearance
as long as beings are asleep.
As long as they are slaves of their ‘minds’.
The best thing I can do is to write down my findings,
is to share the knowledge of others for the few ones
whos spiritual mind has regained enough power to see.
It takes a lot of work,
a lot of struggles and courage,
till we are able to grasp the simplicity of all.
But it is all wort it.
The Power of Now :
A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle
“…don’t seek to grasp it
with your mind.
Don’t try to understand it.
You can know it only when the mind is still.
When you are present, when your attention is fully
and intensely in the Now,
Being can be felt, but it can never be understood mentally.
To regain awareness of Being
and to abide in that state of “feeling-realization”
Identification with your mind,
which causes thought to become compulsive.
Not to be able to stop thinking
is a dreadful affliction,
but we don’t realize this because almost
everybody is suffering from it,
so it is considered normal.
This incessant mental noise prevents you
from finding that realm of inner stillness
that is inseparable from Being.
It also creates a false mind-made self
that casts a shadow of fear and suffering.
Identification with your mind creates
an opaque screen of concepts, labels,
images, words, judgments, and definitions
that blocks all true relationship.
To put it more accurately,
it is not so much that you use your mind
wrongly — you usually don’t use it at all.
It uses you.
This is the disease.
You believe that you are your mind.
This is the delusion.
The instrument has taken you over.
Just because you can solve a crossword puzzle
or build an atom bomb
doesn’t mean that you use your mind.
Just as dogs love to chew bones,
the mind loves to get its teeth into problems.
That’s why it does crossword puzzles
and builds atom bombs.
You have no interest in either.
Let me ask you this: can you be free of your mind
whenever you want to?
Have you found the “off button?
You are unconsciously identified with it,
so you don’t even know that you are its slave.
It’s almost as if you were possessed without knowing it,
and so you take the possessing entity to be yourself.
The beginning of freedom is the realization
that you are not the possessing entity — the thinker.
Knowing this enables you to observe the entity.
The moment you start watching the thinker,
a higher level of consciousness becomes activated.
You then begin to realize
that there is a vast realm of intelligence
beyond thought, that thought is only a tiny aspect of that intelligence.
.You also realize that all the things that truly matter —
beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace —
arise from beyond the mind.
You begin to awaken.
So, the single most vital step on your journey
toward enlightenment is this:
learn to disidentify from your mind.
