HOW BADLY DO YOU WISH TO BE FREE?
Here he will see his impotence, his helplessness, and his nothingness; or again, then he begins to know himself a man sees that he has nothing that is his own, that is, that all that he has regarded as his own, his views, thoughts, convictions, tastes, habits, even faults and vices, all these are not his own, but have been either formed through imitation or borrowed from somewhere ready-made. In feeling this a man may feel his nothingness. And in feeling his nothingness a man should see himself as he really is, not for a second, not for a moment, but constantly, never forgetting it.
“This continual consciousness of his nothingness and of his helplessness will eventually give a man the courage to ‘die,’ that is, to die, not merely mentally or in his consciousness, but to die in fact and to renounce actually and forever those aspects of himself which are either unnecessary from the point of view of his inner growth or which hinder it. These aspects are first of all his ‘false I,’ and then all the fantastic ideas about his ‘individuality,’ ‘will,’ ‘consciousness,’ ‘capacity to do,’ his powers, initiative, determination, and so on.
THE HOBBY OF SPIRITUAL FREEDOM
Many talk about spiritual freedom,
many invest money and time
hoping somebody will take them to the next level.
But very, very few, are devoted to the path of knowledge to the point
of stopping to play the game of materialism.
It is not a matter of money or luck,
but purely a matter of intention,
constant and un-bendable,
of endurance paired with personal vital energy, Prana,
inner strength or life force, as some wish to call it.
“We have already spoken enough about the meaning of being ‘born.’ This relates to the beginning of a new growth of essence, the beginning of the formation of individuality, the beginning of the appearance of one indivisible I.
“But in order to be able to attain this or at least begin to attain it, a man must die, that is, he must free himself from a thousand petty attachments and identifications which hold him in the position in which he is. He is attached to everything in his life, attached to his imagination, attached to his stupidity, attached even to his sufferings, possibly to his sufferings more than to anything else. He must free himself from this attachment. Attachment to things, identification with things, keep alive a thousand useless I’s in a man. These I’s must die in order that the big I may be born. But how can they be made to die? They do not want to die. ♣ “In search of the Miraculous by P. D. OUSPENSKY.
It is a continue search.
A person needs to be strong to stop accumulating,
in order to overcome the fear of “nothingness”,
of the loss of possessions.
“Nothingness after all means death to the material universe,
means death to his parasites minds and organisms.”
All I wish to say to the many who desire knowledge and freedom
is that all they are looking for is out there,
and NO ONE,
and I mean NO ONE, can get it for them.
“Nearly all the world is asleep. but they do not know it.” … “You can only wake up if you want to. and so begin to work on yourself to cut away all the rubbish in order to come upon the nature of who and what you are.” …”Search incessantly for your true nature, but not for yourself.” ♣♣♣ The Last Barrier a Journey through the world of Sufi teaching by Reshad Feild ♣
Till the time they perfectly duplicate and understand that,
they are not going to go anywhere, and their spiritual
search would be nothing but a silly hobby.
Till the time they go for broke for truth
they are going to be slave of the analytical mind(s) ,
they will not recognize their teachers
or be ready for them when they will cross their path,
and they will miss the many calls.
Their spiritual mind will continue to sleep,
to be dead.
In her place, the analytical mind will guide them to institutions,
groups with many rules,
will instigate them to fights and separate in the name of truth and love,
and will unite them with solid religion
where love and freedom are an excuse to
individuate and judge.
And so the teaching of Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad,
and Hubbard have been lost
and changed into something that has nothing spiritual.
…”The struggle against the ‘false I,’ against one’s chief feature or chief fault, is the
most important part of the work, and it must proceed in deeds, not in words”. -from In Search of the miraculous”
In truth as OUSPENSKY mention in his book
“In search of the Miracolous”
if Gesus would be here and alive
very very few, of the million who call themselves
Christian would actually follow him.
The original messages were lost when the analytical mind(s) translated them
into something the analytical mind(s)
And so today many body-machines populate churches,
fight in name of freedom, judge, individuate
under the guidance of their EGO.
This Unaware of the fact that life is choosing for them.
This is the fate of Christianity, Scientology,
Buddhism, Islamic religions and any other group on earth
guided by a bunch of ‘I’s;
the analytical minds…
It is only when man ceases to care for power for his personal use that power comes.
possible only for those who seek it and want it, for those who are ready to struggle
with themselves and work on themselves for a very long time and very persistently in
order to attain it. For this it is necessary to destroy ‘buffers,’ that is, to go out to meet
all those inner sufferings which are connected with the sensations of contradictions.
Moreover the destruction of ‘buffers’ in itself requires very long work and a man must
agree to this work realizing that the result of his work will be every possible
discomfort and suffering from the awakening of his conscience. ♣ “In search of the Miracolous by P. D. OUSPENSKY.
“Meditation is to be aware of every thought
and of every feeling, never to say it is right or wrong
but just to watch it and move with it.
In that watching you begin to understand
the whole movement of thought and feeling.
And out of this awareness comes silence.
Silence put together by thought is stagnation,
is dead, but the silence that comes
when thought has understood its own beginning,
the nature of itself, understood how all thought
is never free but always old –
this silence is meditation in which the meditator
is entirely absent, for the mind
has emptied itself of the past.
